Does ChatGPT really read my site?

Yes. OpenAI, Anthropic and Perplexity each run a crawler that visits websites around the clock, just as Google has for twenty years. During the audit, we knock on your door introducing ourselves as them, and see what we get.

My site ranks well on Google. Why not in ChatGPT?

Because they don't read the same things. Google comes back dozens of times, opens everything, understands your photos and follows your links before ranking you. An AI passes once and only keeps the text written in the page. Your opening hours in a pretty image? It never sees them.

What does the free audit measure?

Twenty-four checks, grouped into six categories and scored out of 100. Are AIs allowed into your site? Do they find your name, address and phone number? Is that information written in a way a machine can copy without errors? Is there text left to read once images are set aside? We read four pages of your site, not just the homepage. Nothing to install, and no trace left on your site.

Will I need to rebuild my site?

Almost never. What hurts you most gets fixed in what you already have. A forgotten directive sometimes bans AIs from your site: remove it. Your address and hours live in an image: put them back as text. Count a few hours, not a redesign.

How long before it changes anything?

Two to six weeks. AIs come back often, but they don't relearn overnight. Run the audit again a month after your fixes: it's the only way to know whether things moved.
