Privacy

This site has no banner because it has no tracker. Here’s what it keeps anyway, and why.

What we keep, and why

The domain you measure, and the result
The measurement covers information the site makes public to any visitor. It is kept with its date: that's what lets you come back and compare one measurement to the next. If a domain carries a natural person's name, that person can ask for its record book to be removed at the address below.
A fingerprint of your connection
To limit the number of measurements per visitor, the IP address is turned into a fingerprint (salted, truncated hash). The address itself is not stored with the measurement.
Audience measurement
The site counts its visits with Umami, hosted by the publisher, with no cookie and no personal identifier. No data goes to any advertising third party. No banner is needed, and there is none.
Your email address, if you ask to watch a domain
It is used to notify you when a measurement of that domain changes, after confirmation through a link sent to that address (double opt-in). One confirmation email; no newsletter, no sales follow-up. Every message carries an immediate stop link, which erases the address.
Server logs
Kept as long as needed for the security of the service, never cross-referenced with measurements.

Retention

Measurements and their origin fingerprint are kept as long as the domain's record book exists, so the history stays readable. The email address of a watch is kept until it is stopped, and an unconfirmed request is never followed up more than once. Order data is kept for ten years, the legal retention period for accounting records. Server logs are kept for thirty days at most.

Who has access

The publisher, and the providers who run the service: Hostinger International Ltd, 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Chypre for hosting and Brevo for sending emails. No data is sold or shared.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase and object to the data concerning you, and you can withdraw your consent to a watch at any time. To exercise these rights, write to contact@ovenir.com. Answer within a month. If it doesn't satisfy you, the CNIL takes complaints at cnil.fr.
